Summer Pasture Evening June 28, 2011

Like Mother like Son.  We have decided not to fix this little guy.  You can't tell from this picture but he is extremely broad shouldered and thick bodied.  We shall see how he grows.  As you can see he is very easy going and isn't bothered by much as long as Mom is close.
Another Doe and her little guy.
Evening light in the summer pasture, two of last years does checking out a cedar and walnut tree.

Moving Day 2011

Today was the day for the goats to move to their Summer pasture.  We have had 2" of rain in 2 days..we didn't know if we could get everything moved due to the mud situation..but we got it done.  Everybody will be fat in slick in no time..
I am standing at the gate calling the goats.
Can you tell this little guys is excited?
Here comes the herd with the dogs coming in behind the goats.
In the Summer pasture. Check out the clouds.  A storm moving just South of us making a lot of noise.

Herbs

Last spring I planted my very first herb garden.  After a rather challenging winter I figured I would have to start all over again this spring.  Apparently not.  I need to get my dehydrator down and give my herbs a trimming.  The oregano has almost totally taken over!  There is some sage, thyme and parsley as well.
