Antique Bits

These treasures came from my mother-in-laws OLD Oak barn, which is well over 100 years old.  These bits were just hanging on the wall inside a storage area.  I haven't been able to research antique bits yet..but from their condition they have some "age" on them.

Goat Update

Remember the post of the very protective mom (Roswell) with Trance trying to get a look at the new baby?  Well here he is now.  He was born April 8..

Spring Storms

 Our storms can be pretty intense!  We have seen it all here in our 20 years...  We have never seen a lightening hit like this before.  We believe the lightening hit the ground and found the tree root and traveled up as we found a hole in the ground where the rocks where thrown all over the place... exploding up through the tree...

Field Treasures

We have had some pretty intense spring storms here in the last couple weeks.  While standing in one of the fields checking and watching the new kids playing in one of the ditches I kicked something...looked down and found an old cow bell in the mud.  It's not in the greatest shape but you can still tell what it is.  We have a little history on our place dating back to the 1930's, the old log house is gone but some of the old locals still tell stories of visiting the "old Myer Farm" listening to the Grand Ole Opry on the radio and playing their own music to all hours ... ha the good old days..

New Boys on the Block

These guys were born April 14.  They are 75% Boer.  Some of the largest born this year.  Mom was in labor for about 5 hours..

Hummingbirds

Spring has officially arrived.  The Hummers are back.  We feed a pretty good group every year, we mix up 10 pounds of sugar every week to keep these guys happy.
