Gravel Road

About 4 miles on the gravel, maybe 1.5 miles as the Falcon flies from our house is a man made lake (40 acres.. filled in one rain season) that the owner is into extreme skiing.. The top photo shows a ski jump for one of their events.

 Their house is at the top of the knoll.

It's hard to believe it's only the middle of May.  Haying season has already started, over a month early. 

Happy Mother's Day 2012

I go for a walk in the pasture every evening making sure there are no surprises.  Thought I'd share what I see  almost every evening.

 These little girls are hoping for some strong winds so they can try out those ears... Surely they can fly!

 Beka.. she's the power house of the pasture.  Turning 6 in May.

 Evening view of the "Summer" pasture.  The deer and turkey are very thick right now.  When we move the goats in June they will move on to a different area.
