Apparently deer season has started early in our yard. These guys have been hanging out here all day. I guess the deer block helps to keep them here. Good thing the only shots are with a camera.

Hummingbird Moth
I was in a multi site meeting at work this past week and for some reason these little guys came up in the discussion. Sightings in Wisconsin and Minnesota and I have seen them here in Missouri a few times. I was really surprised when I saw one at my flower boxes this morning. It stayed around long enough for me to get the camera.

Mending Fences
Husband getting started at first light this morning, temperatures weren't too bad. Done with the worst part by 10 a.m. by 1: p.m. it's 96 degrees.
I really don't like buzzards hanging round. They make you feel like they are watching you... waiting... ugh... but these guys were just taking in a beautiful morning not really bothering anything yet.
