We have a new toy. We now have the ability to see what is going on even when we aren't looking. The day shots seem to be pretty good. I am going to have to work on the camera placement for the night shots. Hopefully I will be able to collect some interesting shots from all over our place.

Finn....Going into the teen years....
It's hard to believe that we have had this little guy three months already! April 1 was just yesterday.. Here he is as a 5 month old puppy, starting to loose his puppy fur.
I took these pictures early this morning before HOT and HUMID arrives.
There was a time when I thought Finn's legs would never grow into his long body...
All of a sudden he started growing and growing and growing...
His personality changes as he discovers new "stuff". He is very strong willed right now (which is good in a guardian) but difficult to handle as the "master". So far we have managed to all survive some of his more challenging moments. He loves his goats and has learned how to play with them without hurting them. Whew!!

A new working dog!! Finn...
Finn is now big enough to spend time with the herd of goats... he followed "his" goats in pasture all day long. He apparently had a few lessons to be learned about the rest of the herd. He came home hungry and tired with yet another storm brewing from the southwest!

What's in a Name? "Finn"
When we brought home our new little puppy on April 1, we had no idea what his name would be. We threw out a few names to our Facebook friends and we came to an agreement with the name "Finn". After reading the names meaning and origin this morning, I'd say that puppy has a lot to live up to!
Meaning and name origin
Finn \f(i)-nn\ as a boy's name is pronounced fin. It is of Irish, Gaelic and Old German origin, and the meaning of Finn is "white, fair". Mythology: Finn MacCumhail was a legendary Irish hero (third century) somewhat like the English Robin Hood. His warrior-followers were called Fenians or Fianna. The modern Gaelic form is Fionn. The name can also be used as a pet form of Finbar and similar names.
Finn has 3 variant forms: Fin, Fionn and Fynn.
For more information, see also related boy names Fingal, Finlay and Finnian.

Yesterday the name should have been "Jethro"... he was just a big ole' boy trying to have a good time....
This morning... hmmm... I think it should be "Roscoe"
But overall, I think we made the right decision... Finn is becoming more of a guardian everyday. He is just 4 months old...he won't stop growing until he is 7 months old and guardians are not considered mature working adult until they are 18 months old.
